iCOMAT: Producing the World’s Lightest Structures at Hyper-Scale and Low-Cost
iCOMAT produces the lightest structures for defence and aerospace and does so at a scale, rate, and cost efficiency that far exceeds existing composite production processes. The key innovation behind this is the world’s first defect-free fiber-steering process, enabling unprecedented structural efficiency and workflows that allow for 10x faster production.

Updates to Advanced Carbons Impacting Composites
End-of-life reclamation and repurposing of carbon fiber (CF) materials is rapidly becoming an important component of the CF ecosystem. A draft ISO Standard is circulating but requires much needed stakeholder input.
At the same time, graphene has held enormous promise for advanced composite applications by offering added strength, durability and light weighting for high value applications but has been constrained by supply, cost, and regulatory approval obstacles.
This presentation will provide a current state of the art and show how these two topics should be addressed, paving the way for more sustainable CF and to open the path for graphene enhanced composites.
